					Love this modern , clean, comfortable boutique hotel in the best location ( Gothic quarter) . Easy walk to so many places. We spent 2 days here pre-cruise and researched so many places to stay . This was perfect in every way . So quiet at night , absolutely no noise from outside at all . The beds are very comfortable, beautiful bathroom and great shower , plenty of water pressure and hot water. The staff is extremely helpful and made taxi reservations for us from the airport, to Park Guell , and to port . Brought me an iron and ironing board on request and provided us with chilled water on request. I would 100% return to Barcelona and when I do stay here. All of the staff has been very accommodating , Oriana was especially sweet and helpful to us .

					On arrival and check-in, the team helped us plan out our days way better than we had ourselves. Made it easier to get around etc with great recommendations. The hotel is easy to locate and the instructions they provide to get here and to gain access etc are real simple and straightforward. Nothing was too much. Always smiles and greetings. Would definitely stay here again.

					Hidden gem This hotel is a hidden gem! It's right in the middle of the Gothic Quarter, steps away from amazing shops, and just a block away from the subway. Even though it's in the middle of a busy part of town, the hotel itself is a quiet oasis (once we found it--the entry instructions were a tad confusing). The building and rooms were clean, modern, and spacious, and the staff were incredibly helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

					We stayed here for the location. Booked the suite. Absolutely fantastic location and quiet. The bed was so comfortable and nice amenities on the bathroom. No view but we weren’t in the room much and knew that while booking. Staff is amazing. Again, the location is fantastic and well worth it. Book a cab through the hotel so you get door to door as many cabs won’t travel narrow streets in the Gothic Quarter.

					Nice and a great location! The stay was great but not easy to get to. There is a special elevator that you need to find, but once you find it then you are all set. The room was much smaller than the photos (about half the size) but it was still nice. The breakfast buffet consisted of 2 different croissants and coffee, which were good. As long as you set your expectations accordingly then it will be fantastic.

					Amazing, high quality, modern hotel Amazing - everything. The staff were great, we had a small issue with the room and they resolved quickly and went out of their way to take care of us. They hotel is very nice and modern inside, rooms are spacious, cleaning of the room happens quickly daily, location in the Gothic quarter is easy walking to so many things, especially dining and it feels like the hotel should cost more than it actually does, great value for money. Highly recommend.

					Perfect location If your not sure about the place and your here to read the reviews go ahead and book it . The hotel is centrally located ,close to all the attractions . It’s a boutique style hotel ,quiet and cozy .Room is nice clean and spacious. staff is really friendly ,they helped arrange some of our bookings . Totally recommend the place .

					Excellent Excellent large and modern hotel rooms and very nice front desk staff. Location is hidden from front street but go inside the market and find the elevator that goes above the second floor and into the wall. Hotel is secluded is quiet! Front desk even had a hair straightener to borrow. Would go again.

					The gentlemen at the front are incredible! We’re currently at day 3 on a week-long stay for our anniversary, and hubby got hit with GI issues. When I asked for ER recommendations, they mentioned they have a doctor that performs in-house visits! I wished I’d asked earlier in the day, so I could’ve shortened hubby’s suffering and saved me a trip to the farmacia (which btw, the guy there was incredible too! Highly recommend Farmacia de la Estrella down the block!)Anyway, location is incredible! Since we’re in the heart of gothic quarter and close to all the main attractions, I could step out without feeling like I’m abandoning my sick husband 😂Also, if you’re arriving after a redeye, definitely recommend their taxi service. Being dropped off at the entrance when we otherwise would’ve been forced to walk and not have been able to find the hotel easily, saved us a ton of stress.The entrance was a bit sketchy at first, but you get used to the charm. The hotel itself is fantastic! The rooms are up-to-date and can go lb-for-lb against Marriott’s Autograph Collection Hotels (and this is coming from someone who travels for work extensively).

					Amazing hotel! Felt very secure with a code required for the lift which was sent well in advance. The staff was lovely and gave us great recommendations. Very close to everything in the gothic quarter and a short walk away from the metro station to get to everything else. Room was a bit on the small side but that’s expected in the older part of the city. Cannot recommend this hotel enough to anyone looking to stay in the gothic quarter in Barcelona.

					Perfect "home away from home" while in Barcelona After our initial issues gaining access to the hotel property, evening else perfectly fell in to place. Front desk team always went above and beyond to assist and accommodate any requests and offer meal recommendations and travel options getting around Barcelona, particularly on a Sunday that there was a bike race event and we had a scheduled tour at Sagrada Familia in the morning. Hotel was clean, quiet and inviting by how it was decorated. Happy we found ourselves here for our few days in Barcelona. Location was great for getting around.

					Highly recommend We loved the Malda Singular and Barcelona generally. The staff at the hotel and the taxi they recommended were almost tour guides. They steered us to all the best places and directed us in hassle avoidance. The location is great for visitors. The gothic district can be crowded during the day but being based there it is easy to explore early morning and in the evening. The historic squares have little markets and art shows, etc. The patisserie across the street from the hotel and a few doors down was a charming go to spot for a morning relax. The hotel is clean the service is personalized. The staff communication in advance and during our trip was wonderful and we like them too. Recommend.

					Great location and service. It was a little hard to find at first but once we got in we were not disappointed. The location is great. The front desk staff was nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and it was nice to have a small pastry for the morning before a long day.

					I stayed for four nights in April, it was a fantastic experience. I thought the location was good for exploring the city. The rooms are large by European standard and small by American standard. The high ceilings and tasteful decor made for a very peaceful stay. Big shout out to the front desk team. I normally don't need assistance but on this trip I needed their help with different things every day. I really appreciated their helpfulness. The only challenge is figuring out how to get up to reception and out your first time. But that makes it quiet and secure. Would recommend to other female solo travelers.

					Super great stay at this hotel. All the front desk people were so kind and very helpful. They made sure we were taken care of each day and night. They also sorted out our rides to and from airport which was so helpful for us.The rooms were super clean, cozy and comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again on our return. 					Excellent Lovely boutique hotel in the centre of old town close to the Cathedral. Spacious room, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable king size bed, Staff very good and informative. Lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. Would highly recommend.

					Thank you Jordi! What a great boutique hotel. Such a great location to metro and every eatery you can imagine. Jordi greeted us with fantastic service by way of providing advice on where not to go and his opinion on eateries within the city. Very hospitable. Room was great and cleaned every day. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast but it does offer morning coffee/orange juice and croissants. Would recommend without any hesitation. Fantastic stay

					Lovely Fantastic location the Gothic Quarter is beautiful. The rooms and beds were cozy, clean and very spacious. The reception desk were so helpful and made dinner reservations for us and ordered our taxis. The atmosphere overall was charming and romantic.

					Fun and well located Cute little hotel located in a good area. Room size was perfect for me as a solo traveler. It may have been a little small for a couple, although I’m sure there are bigger rooms than the one I had. I would definitely stay again.

					Jewel in the Gothic Quarter The Desk staff was absolutely wonderful before we ever arrived. They were polite, courteous, and incredibly informative. Although the front door of the hotel is a littledifficult to find, if you have it on Google maps it becomes very easy. The rooms were large and incredibly clean and comfortable. The location in the Gothic Quarter meant we were a 10 minute walk from many of the sites in Barcelona. I highly recommend this hotel.

					Hidden gem in the heart of Barcelona! Great place to stay! Don't listen to any taxi drivers who say they can't drop you off directly in front of the entrance. Cars ARE allowed on the street. The entrance is a little hard to find. You have to enter a shopping gallery, then take an elevator to reach the lobby. Once inside, the lobby and rooms are classy and clean. A/C was perfect for the heatwave. The staff was quite helpful with everything (thanks, Daniel!). I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Barcelona.

					Beautiful hotel in the Gothic Quarter I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Located in the Gothic Quarter, the oldest part of the city, where Roman foundations, medieval streets, and lived-in modern life all sit on top of each other. The hotel is IN the city, so you get the atmosphere of residential life. Several incredible places to see nearby as well as several restaurants and cafes. A great place to stay just prior to a cruise. It was about a 45 minute ride from the airport. (take a Bolt and save money) The hotel is small, just 17 rooms, but all tastefully done. The staff is top notch. We got in super early, and we toured until rooms were ready. The staff person on desk, Jana (pronounced Yanna---I'm sorry I didn't get the spelling of her name) was exceptionally welcoming and informative. Our room (17) was beautiful and pristine with a great soaking tub and large shower. The bed was so cozy and comfortable. After a very long day of travel, this was a welcome respite. There's a light continental complimentary breakfast with coffee, tea, and pastries. The website pictures are accurate.

					Loved it. Great hotel - a little tricky to find so make sure you read the instructions they send you. Great service and staff and beautiful clean rooms. I had a great sleep also and super quiet considering its in the heart of Barcelona. Loved it thanks team! The amenities were also great - free water and tea and coffee and snacks in the morning.

					Outstanding! Outstanding location... Very close to the Catedral Viejo, La Rambla, etc. Great boutique hotel vibe. The service was fantastic - very personalized and attentive. The room was really nice with a very high ceiling and a beautiful bathroom. Highly recommend this property.

					Peaceful and well located Fantastic location in the Gothic Quarter. So close and convenient to everything but quiet and peaceful. Staff was incredibly helpful, especially with booking transportation that would pick up and drop off right at the front door. Rooms were a good size. We somehow ended up with an ADA room which was fine except the water from the shower went all over the bathroom floor which made it a bit slippery. Definitely would recommend staying here and will book again.

					Great place to stay. Right in the heart of the gothic quarter! Very walkable area with lots to eat and drink around! Rooms were wonderful, bed was very comfortable! I felt very safe with code to access building and elevator. Great service by staff as well.

					Extra stars for the location, services and staff, the rooms itself are very small and tight and almost no place to walk around. It felt cramped inside staying for 2 days, i am glad it was a short stay, any longer we would have to change our hotel.

					We loved our stay at Maldà! It was clean, the staff was attentive and kind. The location cannot be beat. Right in the gothic quarter (a must see anyway) you can get to any attraction fast and easily. With the metro right there, it makes it a must stay location. We will be back!

					Perfect base for a weekend break Stylish rooms, very clean and comfortable. Some rooms are a little snug. Filtered water provided. Fridge, tea and coffee facilities in room. An honesty bar available with drinks and snacks. Located in a lovely square with tapas bars in the beautiful Gothic Quarter. Great location, safe and secure, close to La Rambla. Would recommend.

					Great Hotel Great Location This hotel is exactly as advertised. Fantastic location, great rooms, the staff is fantastic and exceptionally helpful. The location is right in the middle of the Gothic Quarter. Everything you want to see or do is very walkable. I would definitely stay here again.

					Great hotel in great location in the Gothic Quarter I really enjoyed the hotel. Location in the Gothic quarter is awesome, and you are walking distance to most of the sites of Barcelona sites, more options to eat and shop than you can ever use. Staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Hotel was spotless and well maintained.

					A "Must Stay" This boutique hotel is fabulous! The location is wonderful - so many interesting sights, restaurants/bars/cafes, and shops within walking distance. The staff was lovely and and room spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend!!

					Very quiet and understated hotel in a brilliant part of the old gotic quarter. Look for the lift which looks like it goes to the cinema in the market entrance to the right. Its like the secret acess to Bruce Wayne's apartment.Downstairs the market is busy and well market like, upstairs is quiet and old world. The reception serves as a place for coffee and morning cakes. A simple but adequate way to start the day. The reception room is old posh Barcelona.Our bedroom was small - a bit annoying small if you were here all week but a tantalising sliver of a view down to the cathedral, very plush and an amazing shower. The hotel was friendly, reserved and quiet.There are plenty of places to explore for eats and drinks in the area.One to recommend.

Spacious rooms, great bed, amazing shower and very very clean. Also a very quiet hotel, almost didn’t hear anything or anyone else. Superb!

					Great hotel - will visit again We loved the hotel. It was conveniently located in the gothic quarter. Their breakfast / coffee bar was convenient. I wish, they offered gluten free snacks and hot water for tea once they realized that two of us were allergic to gluten. The staff was fantastic, especially Daniel.

					Central location to most major sites based on walking, bus or metro.With Reception 24/7 and elevator accessible only to hotel guests, we always felt safe. Speaking of safe, it is very convenient to have your own IN ROOM SAFE to protect your valuables. The mini fridge and Nespresso coffee machine are additional special touches.Friendly and helpful staff for all your needs.A very clean and spacious establishment offering coffee, juice and fresh pastries every morning.Very much appreciated is the filtered water throughout the day.The bed felt just like a cloud, just like at home.We will stay here when we visit Barcelona again.In the meantime we will highly recommend Malda Singular Hotel to all of our family and friends.

					Picked for the location and were glad we did We wanted to stay near the Gothic area but not on Las Ramblas and not pay a fortune at the most upmarket hotels. We tried Malda for two nights based on location and favourable reviews and were glad we did. The location is excellent and many places we were keen to get to (eg Mercat de la Boqueria) were close by. But at the same time it is a little away from the main pedestrian area -- it is above a small theatre as another reviewer noted but at least on the nights we were there it was no issue. The hotel organised a taxi for us from the airport and we were glad that our driver knew where to go -- we certainly could not have driven there and would have found it hard to find just inside a small shopping centre. The building is apparently a restored palace which we only really appreciated when we got to sit on their small terrace to have a complimentary bottle of cava that they gave me for my birthday which they had noticed was the day after check out. A nice touch. Our room was not large but sufficient for what we needed -- comfortable and as you would expect in the area. The air con was not the best (it was quite warm for November) but it was enough for what we needed. The reception staff were helpful, they stored our luggage after we checked out until we were picked up later in the day, and checked us in early which we particularly appreciated. We would be happy to return!

					Fantastic location, Gothic Quarters. The only challenge we had was finding the hotel signage is a bit small. Once we located the hotel everything was 5 stars, rooms were clean comfortable in a great location. The young girl that looked after us at check in was outstanding. She gave us great directions to some local restaurants where we enjoyed wine and taps. We will definitely recommend your hotel to all our traveling friends. Cheers Lisa

					Perfect hotel & location Stayed as a couple for one overnight while visiting barcelona from Salou. Hotel is in the Gothic Quarter and is in easy walking distance to the train station and shops. Hotel has a luxurious feel to it. Free juice be pastries in the morning topped it off. Would come back to this hotel and recommend to friends & family. Not one negative thing to say.
